# Cambria files Global EW 4 on the day set for GEX contributions

EA Series Trust filed a draft on Thursday, October 1, 2026 for the Cambria Global EW 4 ETF that asks to take effect 75 days later, on Tuesday, December 15, while Cambria's calendar named that Thursday as the day to coordinate final contributions to Global EW 3, the fund Cambria calls GEX.

EA Series Trust has asked the SEC to register the Cambria Global EW 4 ETF, a fourth global stock fund. The draft went in on Thursday, the day Cambria set to coordinate final contributions to the third fund in the line.

The paper is a draft, amendment No. 659 to the trust's registration, dated Thursday, October 1 and marked subject to completion, so the text is not final and the shares are not for sale until it takes effect. It asks to become effective 75 days after filing, on Tuesday, **December 15**.

The ticker, the management fee and the total annual expenses are still blank, and other expenses are estimated at 0.00%. A blank is not a fee of zero.

At launch, the fund expects to take in a meaningful amount of assets as securities rather than cash, in a transfer meant to qualify as tax-deferred under Section 351 of the US tax code. If the rules are met, a person can hand appreciated stock to a new fund and receive fund shares without an immediate tax.

Cambria's own launch kits call a window like this a one-time opportunity. Each numbered fund so far has had its own.

Cambria Global EW ETF GEW began trading on Thursday, September 25, 2025, after a window that closed on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Cambria Global EW 2 ETF GEQ began on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, after a window that closed on Thursday, April 30.

The third fund, Cambria Global EW 3, ticker GEX, is not yet available. Cambria's site sets an anticipated start on Tuesday, November 10, names this past Thursday as the day to coordinate final contributions, and sets Tuesday, October 13 as the paperwork deadline. The new draft expects that same kind of seeding.

The fund would seek capital appreciation. It would be actively managed, holding global stocks directly or through other ETFs, in at least three countries, including the United States, and typically many more. Cambria expects to put more money in countries that make up more of the global large-company market, and to rebalance at least once a year.

Cambria's launch kit for the first fund calls it a global equal-weight fund, and its page for GEW says the fund avoids traditional market-cap weighting, the method that piles money into the biggest companies. In this draft, a majority of the weight from individual stocks would go to companies generally among the world's 500 largest. That is about how the dollars are placed, not a promise that every holding gets the same share.

Empowered Funds, under the name EA Advisers, would advise the fund, and the shares would be listed on Nasdaq. Cambria Investment Management would choose the stocks. The draft names Mebane Faber, Cambria's chief investment officer, and Jonathan Keetz, its chief operating officer, the same two who already run GEW and GEQ.

As of Friday, October 2, GEW held $140 million and GEQ held $202 million.

GEW's total expense ratio is 0.30%, and its prospectus lists a 0.25% management fee. GEQ's total is 0.27%, and the prospectus supplemented on Monday, September 14 splits that into the same 0.25% management fee plus 0.02% in fees from the other funds it holds. The Cambria Global EW 3 summary prospectus, dated Monday, July 6, lists a 0.25% management fee and a 0.25% total.

Cambria anticipates that GEX begins trading on Tuesday, November 10. The date after that, for anyone watching the fourth fund, is whenever Cambria publishes a contribution calendar.
