# First Trust files a 485BPOS for six FT Vest single-stock income series

First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund IV filed a Rule 485(b) post-effective amendment on September 11, 2026, listing six unlisted FT Vest single-stock target-income series as of September 14.

The Friday paper is the kind of amendment an issuer files when it is ready to offer a new series, not when it is rewriting one you already hold. The concrete commitment is in an exhibit: Schedule II to the trust’s Bank of New York Mellon custody agreement, dated as of Monday, September 14, names **six** FT Vest single-stock target-income series that do not yet trade.

Those six names sat in registration as far back as December 2025. A 485BPOS under Rule 485(b) is the later step that typically makes a prospectus effective so shares can be offered. It is not a listing, and it is not a launch. As of Monday morning, none of the six tickers had a quoted market.

First Trust already listed four funds in this single-stock target-income sleeve in August: FT Vest AAPL & Target Income ETF XVAP, FT Vest NVDA & Target Income ETF XVNV, FT Vest TSLA & Target Income ETF XVTS, and FT Vest SPCX & Target Income ETF XVSP. This filing is the next batch of the same idea, still on paper.

The registrant is First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund IV, the Massachusetts trust that already houses the issuer’s senior-loan, energy-infrastructure and other target-income ETFs. Nothing in the Friday amendment, on the exhibit that can be read, changes the fees or mandates of those existing funds. Whether any of the six list, on which exchange, and at what expense ratio, is a later fact. Registrations get amended, and launches slip.
