# Global X Treasury Bond Enhanced Income ETF, TLTX, returned -7.24% in the year through Sept. 30

The -7.24% is a net-asset-value total return with income reinvested, set against a 21.26% trailing distribution as of Oct. 9.

By ETF.net Research. Published Oct 18, 2026.

Through Sept. 30, the Global X Treasury Bond Enhanced Income ETF, TLTX, returned **-7.24%** on its net asset value, which Global X shows as a total return with income reinvested. As of Oct. 9, the firm reported a trailing 12-month distribution of **21.26%**.

The return is the number that already counts the income. The 21.26% is only the payout: Global X adds up the year's distributions and divides by recent net asset value, and the firm says that figure does not imply a future rate.

TLTX is not a plain Treasury fund. It holds long-term U.S. Treasuries and sells call options on only part of the portfolio, collecting cash for the options and giving up some of the gain if Treasury prices rise significantly. Global X says the sale is meant to raise income relative to a traditional Treasury investment.

## The monthly check is smaller than a year ago

The latest monthly check is smaller than the one from a year earlier. The distribution that went ex-dividend on Sept. 21 was $0.2697 a share, and it was paid on Sept. 24. The distribution that went ex-dividend on Sept. 22, 2025, was $0.4306.
