# Preliminary prospectus filed for the Grant Park Core Income ETF

Dearborn Capital Management would advise the fund inside Northern Lights Fund Trust. The ticker is blank, and the expense limit written for the fund is still in brackets.

By ETF.net Research. Published Oct 21, 2026.

Northern Lights Fund Trust filed a [preliminary prospectus](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1314414/000158064226006989/gpcoreincome-etf_485a.htm) on Oct. 20 for the Grant Park Core Income ETF. Dearborn Capital Management is named as the adviser.

The prospectus says the information is not complete and may be changed, and that the shares may not be sold until the registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission is effective.

The document is a Form 485APOS, a post-effective amendment under Rule 485(a). The "post-effective" label belongs to the trust, whose registration is already effective. This amendment would add a series.

The checked box proposes that the amendment become effective 75 days after filing, which falls in early January 2027. The ticker, the listing exchange and the prospectus date are blank, and the SEC's [filing detail](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1314414/000158064226006989/0001580642-26-006989-index.htm) marks the series as new. The prospectus dates the managers to January 2027, the month the 75-day period would reach.

## Core Income, paid once a year

The fund "seeks to provide current income while pursuing long-term growth." It would be actively managed.

Dearborn would invest primarily in options, futures, forwards and swaps on equities, fixed income and commodities. The fund may hedge by selling short, and it may trade the portfolio frequently.

Richmond Quantitative Advisors, named as a sub-adviser, would run a global allocation in exchange-traded funds and futures, using trend and momentum models "with the objective of participating in rising markets." The draft sets no minimum or maximum for the assets sent to Richmond. The trust's semi-annual shareholder report for the period ended March 31, 2026 says Richmond already serves as a sub-adviser to the Grant Park Dynamic Allocation Fund.

A separate options strategy would buy and sell calls and puts, seeking monthly income from the net premiums left after the cost of options purchased. The prospectus says the fund intends to distribute substantially all of its net investment income at least annually, and its net capital gains annually, so the monthly premium is not a monthly payout.

## A bracketed 0.85% limit

The figure written as this fund's own expense limit is a bracketed **0.85%** of average daily net assets, until Jan. 31, 2028. It is printed in brackets, and it is not a finished total.

The management fee in the annual operating-expense table is 0.80%. That is not the all-in fee. Other expenses, acquired-fund fees and the total are blank, and the line after the fee waiver is printed as 1.[ ]%, with the digits after the decimal left empty.

The agreement that sets the 0.85% limit excludes acquired-fund fees, fees on derivatives such as options and swaps, and borrowing costs on short sales, among other items. The strategy uses options, other funds and short sales, so those costs sit outside the limit.

A footnote on the same table names different limits: 1.83% for Class A shares and 1.58% for Class I shares, through at least Jan. 31, 2028. This prospectus offers one exchange-traded share class. It does not offer Class A or Class I shares, and those percentages are not written as this fund's limit.

Grant Park's website lists mutual funds and does not list an exchange-traded fund.

The prospectus can still be amended. The 75-day clock can slip. A new series can sit in registration and never list. Until a later filing supplies a ticker, an exchange and a completed expense table, and until the registration is effective, there is nothing to buy.
