# Motley Fool files five Fool 100 ETFs, three for options income

Five Motley Fool ETFs tied to the Fool 100 Index were filed for registration on Thursday, October 8, 2026, with fees and tickers still blank.

RBB Fund, Inc. filed on Thursday to register five new Motley Fool ETFs tied to the Fool 100 Index. Three of them would use options to generate income.

RBB is a Maryland investment company that houses funds for unrelated managers, including F/m and Campbell. Motley Fool Asset Management, the adviser, says each of its ETFs is a separate fund inside that company.

The document is a post-effective amendment, the form for adding funds to a registration that is already effective. RBB checked the box proposing that it take effect 75 days after filing, under Rule 485(a)(2), which puts the earliest effective date at **Tuesday, December 22**, though an amendment can push it later. The cover says the information is not complete and may be changed, and that the shares may not be sold until the registration is effective.

Three of the funds are described as actively managed. The Motley Fool 100 Premium Income ETF, the Motley Fool 100 Tax Efficient Premium Income ETF and the Motley Fool 100 Yield Plus ETF would invest mainly in stocks linked to the Fool 100 Index, or in instruments that stand in for those stocks, and use options to seek income.

The Premium Income fund seeks "a high level of current income while maintaining exposure to the long-term appreciation potential of companies associated with the Motley Fool 100 Index." It would sell call options to collect that cash, which can limit the gains the fund keeps if the stocks rise.

The filing also names the Motley Fool 100 Hedged ETF and the Motley Fool 100 Premium Income Buffer ETF. It lists no ticker for any of the five, and the fee table is blank. The line for an options sub-adviser is blank.

In December 2025, Motley Fool Asset Management said it had filed for 12 more ETFs "expected to launch in the coming years." Three factor funds launched that month, the only new Motley Fool ETFs since, and together they hold about $33 million. An Enhanced Income ETF, and Fool 100 equal-weight and minimum-volatility funds, from a September 2025 registration are not in the lineup.

## The fund already trading

The fund a reader can buy today is the Motley Fool 100 Index ETF, TMFC, which holds the stocks in the Fool 100 Index. That index is a rules-based list of the 100 largest, most liquid U.S. companies recommended by Motley Fool analysts. The fund's disclosures say the index was developed by The Motley Fool, LLC, an affiliate of the adviser.

As of Friday, TMFC holds **$2.15 billion**, 77% of the assets across Motley Fool's nine ETFs, and charges 0.50%. It tracks the index and does not use options. A holder would have to buy a different fund to get one of the new strategies, because TMFC itself would not change.

## Not the Nasdaq-100

The JPMorgan Nasdaq Equity Premium Income ETF, JEPQ, holds large U.S. stocks and sells call options tied to the Nasdaq-100. It has $44.5 billion and charges 0.35%.

The Goldman Sachs Nasdaq-100 Premium Income ETF, GPIQ, is Goldman's premium-income fund on that same index. It holds $6.4 billion. Goldman lists a net expense ratio of 0.29% and a gross expense ratio of 0.35%.

Nvidia and Apple are the two largest holdings in both TMFC and JEPQ. The Fool 100 fund's top ten holdings are 57% of the portfolio, against 44% for JEPQ. Financial companies are 10.5% of TMFC, including Berkshire Hathaway at 3.6%, and 0.3% of JEPQ.

Chart: The Fool 100 carries **financials** that JEPQ almost skips

The other eight Motley Fool ETFs together hold $639 million. Thursday's filing proposes new Fool 100 funds beside the one product that already has the assets.
