Roundhill ETF Trust's Rule 485(b) amendment for Roundhill Semicap ETF became effective Wednesday, immediately on filing. Counsel's opinion says Post-Effective Amendment No. 337 is there to register an unlimited number of shares of that series. The filing's series block names one series and one class: Roundhill Semicap ETF.

## What the prospectus commits to

Under normal circumstances the fund will invest at least **80%** of net assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of Semicap Companies or in swap agreements or forward contracts that provide that exposure. Derivatives count at notional value. Roundhill describes those companies as names that design, develop, manufacture, sell, or service machinery, tools, and software used for semiconductor capital equipment, and says the adviser looks for firms with at least **50%** of revenues or profits from that equipment, tools, subsystems, or related products used to make, assemble, or test chips. The fund will concentrate in the information technology sector and is non-diversified.

The fee table is **0.65%** in total: a 0.65% management fee, 0.00% in 12b-1 fees, and 0.00% in other expenses.

The trust first registered the series on June 26. Wednesday's paper is the 485(b) amendment that makes that registration effective. Roundhill's product page lists the ticker as SOXC. The prospectus does not say the shares have begun trading.

Semiconductor equipment already sits inside the large chip funds. VanEck's semiconductor fund SMH, which holds chipmakers and equipment names, has **$70.5 billion** in assets and charges 0.35%. Roundhill already runs a memory-chip fund, DRAM, at the same 0.65% fee. This registration is for the equipment names, not the chips.
