Amplify's tanker-freight fund BWET gained **8.4%** to $786.73 as WTI crude fell **3.5%** to **$102.13**, reversing most of Tuesday's 4.4% jump to $105.83.

The Federal Reserve raised its target range a quarter point to **3.75%–4.00%**, the first increase since 2023, and lifted its median year-end 2026 funds-rate projection to **4.1%** from 3.8% in June. The S&P 500 closed **0.43%** lower, at 7,553.33. The Nasdaq Composite was unchanged.

The fund holds Middle East-to-China and West Africa tanker futures, not the oil. It had fallen **5.7%** Tuesday. The five-session gain is now **35%**. The one-month gain is **107%**. Same split as [Friday's double-digit session](https://etf.net/news/tanker-fund-gains-12-as-crude-falls-and-dell-hpe-rally-2026-09-11): the ships paid, the barrel did not.

## Photonics funds rise after Ciena's 30% target

Ciena set a target of about **30%** compound annual revenue growth from 2026 through 2029 at its investor forum Wednesday. Benzinga reported Lumentum Holdings rose in sympathy with fiber-optic peers after the targets. Lumentum gained **9.6%** to $919.40, recapturing Monday's 9.9% drop. Ciena itself closed **1.8%** higher. Coherent gained 6.9% to $289.93 after Monday's 12.7% decline and is still down 17% over one month.

Roundhill Photonics & Optics ETF LYTE rose **6.4%**. Lumentum and Coherent are 28% of that fund as filed and accounted for about **2.3 percentage points** of the gain; a Treasury bill is the largest holding, at 34%. Tema Photonics & Optical ETF LAZR added 4.9%. Tuttle Capital Pure Play Photonics ETF FOTO, mostly cash and swaps on optical stocks, added 3.7%. Spear Alpha ETF SPRX, which holds both optical names plus Astera Labs, rose 3.1%. Astera Labs gained 6.6%.

State Street's S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF XOP, the $4.17 billion producer book, fell **4.0%** and more than reversed Tuesday's 3.2% gain. By comparison, the broad energy sector fund, State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF XLE, fell 2.8%.

J.B. Hunt Transport Services fell **13.3%** to $236.73 on more than four times average volume. Single-stock option funds followed their underlyings. YieldMax COIN Option Income Strategy ETF CONY lost **3.9%** as Coinbase fell 4.4%, a day after the Senate stalled a crypto bill and [XRP funds dropped 12%](https://etf.net/news/xrp-funds-fall-11-6-after-senate-stalls-crypto-bill-2026-09-15).

It was the second Turkish manager this week after Pusula Portfoy missed payments. Atlas Portfoy said it would limit redemptions on one of its funds. Turkish stocks fell more than 5%. The five-session loss in TUR is **11.3%**. Turkey's Financial Stability Committee is scheduled to meet Thursday morning.
