Our read on DEHP

ETF.net Research

CDimensional's emerging-markets fund built on one question: is the company actually making money? A profitability screen spread across roughly 800 names, in a peer group otherwise dominated by low-volatility products.

Stated mandate

The ETF seeks long-term capital appreciation. It uses an integrated investment approach emphasizing long-term expected-return drivers while diversifying across companies, sectors, and countries.

Why people hold it

  1. 01Screens emerging-market companies for high profitability, then spreads the exposure across roughly 800 stocks and diversifies by sector and country.
  2. 020.44% a year puts it dead center of its emerging-markets factor cohort, and below the cash-flow screen ECOW (0.70%) and BLES (0.60%).
  3. 03Its own lane: cohort rivals EEMV and EELV sort on volatility. This one sorts on profits, which is a genuinely different screen.
  4. 04Pays on a quarterly cadence, and the mandate is plain long-term capital appreciation rather than an income story.

Worth knowing

  1. 01Thinly traded, so bid-ask spreads can run wider than in the category's household names. Limit orders earn their keep here.
  2. 02Cheaper neighbors exist: EEMV at 0.25% and EELV at 0.29%, though both screen for low volatility rather than profitability.
  3. 03Launched in 2022, so the live record is short, and a profitability tilt can diverge from broad emerging markets in either direction.
