DIME
This fund does not currently behave like the group it was assigned to, so its grouping is being re-reviewed. Grading pauses until the review resolves, because a letter measured against the wrong peer group would be a statement about the wrong funds.NASDAQ Global SelectCoinShares Altcoins ETF

Our read on DIME
Most funds in this corner buy the picks and shovels: miners, exchanges, blockchain stocks. DIME goes at the coins themselves, tracking an equally weighted basket of Layer 1 altcoins. It opened for business in 2025.
DIME seeks to track the performance of the CoinShares-Compass Altcoins Index, which represents an equally weighted basket of altcoins associated with Layer 1 digital-asset protocols.
Why people hold it
- Coins, not coin stocks. The index it follows is built from Layer 1 altcoins, while the cohort's leaders (BKCH, BLOK) own blockchain-related equities instead.
- Equal weighting gives every Layer 1 protocol in the basket the same slot, so one dominant token cannot quietly become the whole fund.
- One ticker in an ordinary brokerage account covers a spread of Layer 1 protocols. No wallets, no exchange logins, no seed phrases.
Worth knowing
- The 0.95% expense ratio sits above the middle of its peer group, where several of the highest-rated funds price between 0.50% and 0.70%.
- It launched in October 2025 and remains a small, thinly traded fund, so spreads can be wider than in the category's household names.
- Altcoin prices move violently, and with history starting only in 2025 there is limited track record to size up how rough the ride gets.
