Our read on XXRP

ETF.net Research

DThe first US ETF to put XRP exposure in an ordinary brokerage account, and it arrived with leverage attached: XXRP targets 2x XRP's daily move using swaps, not coins. Teucrium, the corn-and-wheat shop, beat the giants to the ticker.

Stated mandate

The fund seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, equal to two times the daily price performance of XRP.

Why people hold it

  1. 01First mover. Listed April 2025 as the first US-listed ETF offering XRP exposure of any kind, and the first leveraged one.etf.com
  2. 02Aims for two times XRP's daily price move through swaps, so the exposure lives in a brokerage account: no exchange logins, wallets or private keys.teucrium.com
  3. 03Built as a 1940 Act fund, so tax time brings a standard 1099 rather than the K-1 many commodity-pool crypto products issue.teucrium.com

Worth knowing

  1. 01Pricey seat. The 2.77% expense ratio runs well above the leveraged-crypto median, and ProShares' UXRP chases the same 2x daily XRP target for 1.67%.
  2. 02The 2x target resets every day. Hold longer and compounding takes over, so multi-day results can drift far from twice XRP's move, especially in choppy tape.teucrium.com
  3. 03It owns swaps, not XRP. Returns depend on counterparties and on the spot XRP products those swaps reference, a layer between you and the coin.teucrium.com
