Our read on each fund
HYMBA
NHYMB
In short
HYMB Most muni index funds stop at investment grade. HYMB keeps going: its benchmark reaches from A-rated paper down through unrated deals, spreading roughly 1,900 tax-exempt bonds across that credit line. Income lands monthly.
NHYM Most muni ETFs track an index of investment-grade paper. NHYM goes the other way: an actively run portfolio built mainly from non-investment-grade and unrated munis, reaching for tax-free income in the corner indexers skip.
Stated mandate
HYMB The fund seeks to track, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the ICE US Select High Yield Crossover Municipal Index, which covers lower-rated and unrated tax-exempt municipal debt issued in the United States.
NHYM The Fund seeks high current income that is exempt from regular federal income tax. Capital appreciation is secondary when consistent with that primary aim.

How we measure overlap
Each holding counts at its smaller weight in the two funds, summed over the full Holdings. Sector, country and asset class use the same rule on each fund’s split. Cash, FX and derivative lines stay out of the counts. Two bond funds get no overlap figure.
