Our read on QQA
ANasdaq-100 exposure with an options-income overlay, actively run, no leverage, paid monthly. The hook is price: 0.33% is less than half the going rate in the Nasdaq covered-call aisle.
Actively managed QQA combines Nasdaq-100 equity exposure with an options-income overlay. It seeks consistent monthly income, long-term capital growth, and lower volatility without leverage.
Why people hold it
- At 0.33%, it charges less than half the typical fee in its Nasdaq-100 options-income group, and undercuts heavyweights like JEPQ, GPIQ and QYLD.
- Actively managed rather than rules-locked, with stated aims of consistent monthly income, long-term capital growth and lower volatility.invesco.com
- No leverage in the structure. The income comes from writing options against a portfolio of about 120 Nasdaq-100 names, and it pays monthly.
- One of the strongest implementations in the Nasdaq-100 income crowd on our review, mostly because it does the same job as pricier rivals for less.
Worth knowing
- The overlay is the trade-off: selling calls funds the monthly check and gives up some of the upside when the Nasdaq runs hard.
- Launched in 2024, so the track record covers a short stretch of market weather compared with older funds in the group.
- Payouts are monthly but not fixed: no target yield is declared, and option premiums move with volatility. The equity side stays mega-cap tech heavy.
