Key takeaways

  • Eventide listed two ETFs for strategies it already runs, at the set's highest fees.
  • Buyers pay the fee for Eventide's managers and its Christian screen in an ETF wrapper.
  • Eventide Dividend Growth ETF costs 0.95%, more than active dividend-growth funds already listed.
  • Eventide Large Cap Focus ETF costs 0.75%, more than Christian large-cap funds already listed.
  • Mutual fund results do not carry over, and both new ETFs have limited history.

Eventide Asset Management listed two actively managed ETFs on NYSE Arca, charging 0.75% for the Eventide Large Cap Focus ETF, ELCF, and 0.95% for the Eventide Dividend Growth ETF, ETDG.

Summary prospectuses dated Oct. 28, 2026, list those as the total annual operating expenses, each equal to the management fee. Eventide dates the inception to Oct. 28 and announced the listings on Oct. 29.

"These ETFs bring a new wrapper to two of Eventide's well-established strategies," the firm said in its Oct. 29 announcement.

Dolores Bamford, Eventide's co-chief investment officer, and portfolio manager Andrew Singer run both ETFs, as they already run the mutual fund versions. The dividend-growth mutual fund began Sept. 29, 2017, and held $1.34 billion as of Oct. 29. The large-cap mutual fund began June 30, 2022, and held $205.7 million as of Oct. 29. The mutual funds' results do not carry over, and the announcement says the new funds have a limited history for investors to evaluate.

What the new funds buy

ELCF seeks long-term capital appreciation. It normally keeps at least 80% of the portfolio in large companies, judged by market value at purchase against the Bloomberg U.S. 500 Total Return Index, not by whether a company is in that index. As of June 30, 2026, the companies in the index ranged from $2.98 billion to $4.84 trillion. The fund may also own foreign companies without a set limit.

ETDG seeks dividend growth and long-term capital appreciation. Current dividend income is a secondary goal. It normally keeps at least 80% of the portfolio in companies Eventide believes can raise dividends over the long term, judged on dividend history, free cash flow and balance sheets. The prospectus does not require a set number of annual increases. The fund can own companies of any size, in the United States or abroad.

Both funds use Eventide's Christian screen. The prospectuses say the values are inspired by the Christian faith and a biblical worldview, and that a security is generally excluded unless the adviser believes the screen is met. The activities named include gambling, pornography, tobacco, alcohol and weapons.

What 0.75% and 0.95% buy

What the buyer pays for is Eventide's managers and Eventide's screen, in an ETF. Dividend growth was already listed without that screen. Christian large-cap funds were already listed under other firms' screens.

Eventide takes the two highest fees in this set

Net expense ratios through Oct. 29, 2026. BIBL is net of a waiver through March 31, 2027

  • ETDG0.95
  • ELCF0.75
  • PRAY0.68
  • TDVG0.5
  • VDIG0.4
  • BIBL0.35
  • CHRI0.29
  • DGRO0.08
  • VIG0.04

No peer charges more than PRAY's 0.68.

ETDG costs 0.45 percentage points more than TDVG and 0.55 percentage points more than VDIG. The index funds charge 0.04% and 0.08%.

Eventide already sells a cheaper dividend ETF. The Eventide High Dividend ETF, ELCV, lists 0.49% in a Sept. 4, 2026, fee filing. It seeks high dividends now, not dividend growth, and it is not the new large-cap fund.

ELCF costs 0.40 percentage points more than BIBL and 0.46 percentage points more than CHRI. Inspire's 0.35% is a net expense, a temporary cut from a 0.41% gross expense. The cut runs until at least March 31, 2027. A waiver is an agreement to cap or cut the fee for a set time. It is not, by itself, the permanent price.

PRAY costs 0.07 percentage points less than ELCF. It is not a large-cap fund.

The dividend-growth ETF matches the net fee on its own mutual fund. Eventide's Sept. 30, 2026 commentary.pdf) lists Class I at a 0.95% net expense and a 0.94% gross expense, with an agreement to waive fees through Oct. 31, 2026. Class I is the share class Eventide's site prices at a $100,000 minimum, though a footnote says shares bought directly from the fund have none.

Eventide's Class I page for the large-cap mutual fund lists a 0.94% net expense and a 1.13% gross expense. The 0.94% rests on a waiver through Oct. 31, 2026. At 0.75%, ELCF is 0.19 percentage points below that net expense.

Class N is the share class with a $1,000 minimum and no sales charge. The same commentary lists it at a 1.15% net expense for dividend growth. The large-cap Class N page lists 1.14% net. The dividend-growth ETF costs 0.20 percentage points less than that 1.15%. The large-cap ETF costs 0.39 percentage points less than that 1.14%. Both Class N nets carry the same waiver agreement through Oct. 31, 2026.
