Key takeaways

  • A Tesla income ETF and two SK hynix funds will liquidate months after their start.
  • Holders can sell through the last trading day or wait for cash afterward.
  • Tradr's SK hynix funds stop trading Nov. 5; the Tesla fund stops later.
  • A supplement says the xETFs TSLA Daily Income ETF payment is a taxable event.
  • The October TIPS fund's Oct. 20 liquidation was the end set at launch.

The xETFs TSLA Daily Income ETF, TYYY, is set to stop trading on or about Nov. 17. The Tradr 2X Long SK hynix Daily ETF, SKHA, and the Tradr 2X Short SK hynix Daily ETF, SKHN, are set to stop on Nov. 5. Each is closing within months of its start.

xETFs says TYYY began trading on May 15, 2026. Tradr lists an inception date of July 27, 2026, for SKHA, and the same date for SKHN on its page.

Exchange Traded Concepts, the adviser to TYYY, recommended the liquidation, and the board of Exchange Listed Funds Trust approved it. A supplement dated Oct. 19 says the fund is expected to liquidate on or about Nov. 20. It seeks the total return of Tesla's shares, before fees, and income from a daily options strategy.

A holder can sell on NYSE Arca through the last trading day, on or about Nov. 17. From Nov. 16 through that day, the supplement says shareholders may only be able to sell to certain broker-dealers. It gives no assurance of a market in that window, and brokerage charges may apply.

A holder who stays cannot buy or sell after that last trading day. On or about Nov. 20 the fund pays the remaining shareholders cash in proportion to their shares. The supplement calls the payment a taxable event. It includes any accrued capital gains and dividends, and the net asset value that day reflects the cost of closing the fund. Before the payment, the fund may raise cash and may no longer follow the Tesla strategy.

The two Tradr funds sit in Investment Managers Series Trust II. Its board approved a liquidation plan for both, in a supplement dated Oct. 20. SKHA seeks 200% of one day's move in SK hynix's U.S.-listed shares, before fees. SKHN seeks the inverse, -200%.

A holder can sell on Cboe BZX on or before Nov. 5. That date is the last day the shares trade on the exchange, and brokerage charges may apply. After Nov. 5 there is no trading on Cboe BZX.

A holder who stays is paid cash on or about Nov. 12, at that day's net asset value, and the fund does not charge a transaction fee. The supplement says the cash is generally treated as a sale of the shares, a capital gain or loss, and it may be subject to withholding. In the week with no trading, AXS Investments, the adviser, may raise cash, so a fund may not stay at its 200% or -200% exposure.

The October TIPS fund has already liquidated

"The Fund has liquidated effective October 20, 2026."

That is the supplement iShares Trust filed for IBIC. It also removes every reference to the fund from the prospectus and the statement of additional information. This was the end set at launch, not a decision taken this week. An Aug. 14 supplement says the board approved the planned liquidation on June 8, 2023, in connection with the establishment of the fund, set the last trading day at Oct. 15, and scheduled the proceeds for Oct. 20.

iShares lists a closing price of $25.68 on that final trading day. BlackRock listed net assets of $74.4 million as of Oct. 14, before the last session.

Registered, and not yet for sale

Listed Funds Trust filed a post-effective amendment on Oct. 20 for the xETFs Samsung Group ETF, SMNG, and the xETFs Hyundai Group ETF, HDAI. Teucrium Investment Advisors, the adviser named in the filing, agreed that day to reduce each fund's management fee from 0.65% to 0.49% of average daily net assets, from Oct. 20 until at least Oct. 20, 2027. The issuer's page for SMNG says the fund has not commenced operations and is not available for purchase. The same prospectus and the same waiver cover HDAI.

Tidal Trust V filed a post-effective amendment the same day for the Defiance China Quantum ETF, CHQT. It seeks to track, before fees and expenses, the BITA China Quantum Select Index. Tidal Investments is the adviser. The fee table lists a management fee of 0.75% and total annual expenses of 0.77%, with other expenses estimated at 0.02%. A Form 8-A dated Oct. 21 registers the shares for listing on Cboe BZX. The statement of additional information says that as of its date the fund had not commenced operations and no shares were outstanding.

VanEck Funds filed summary prospectuses for the VanEck Wealth Builder ETF, WBMO, and the VanEck Pivotal Trends ETF, PIVT. A statement of additional information revised Oct. 14 says neither had commenced operations. RBB Fund Trust filed a post-effective amendment for the Park Edge Adaptive Risk ETF, and that prospectus says the fund had not commenced operations. Listed Funds Trust also filed a summary prospectus for the Overlay Shares Nasdaq 100 Income ETF, OVQ.

J.P. Morgan Exchange-Traded Fund Trust filed 15 summary prospectuses. BlackRock ETF Trust filed two, including one for the iShares Future Robotics and Related Technologies Active ETF, RBTX. PIMCO ETF Trust and ETF Opportunities Trust each filed one. Those are summary prospectuses, not liquidation notices.
