Key takeaways

  • WisdomTree Enhanced Commodity Strategy Fund's 24.7% drop was an unpaid payout, not a selloff.
  • WisdomTree's gold-and-equity fund fell 12.1% on a payout larger than its price drop.
  • Roundhill Investments' Roundhill Neocloud ETF rose 8.8% as its computing-power companies gained.
  • VanEck Oil Refiners ETF fell 3.7% as two refiners it holds, Valero and Marathon, dropped.

WisdomTree Enhanced Commodity Strategy Fund, GCC, fell 24.7% on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, to $19.96, because a large payout came out of the share price.

An ex-distribution date is the day a new buyer no longer gets the payout, and the amount comes out of the share price that day. WisdomTree's 2026 distribution schedule set Tuesday as that date for the funds that pay twice a year, and for its monthly funds. The cash is payable Oct. 29. The holder is owed it. It has not been paid. Adding that cash to Tuesday's close leaves the move from Monday.

GCC's price fell $6.53 from Monday's close. It is paying $6.45 a share, which leaves the shares down 0.3%. SPDR Gold Shares, GLD, rose 1.2%, and crude was down 1.5%.

WisdomTree Efficient Gold Plus Equity Strategy Fund, GDE, fell 12.1%, or $7.42, to $54.10. It is paying $8.58 a share, more than the price fell, so the shares rose 1.9% once the cash is included.

WisdomTree Efficient Gold Plus Gold Miners Strategy Fund, GDMN, fell $2.75 in price, or 3.7%, to $72.04. It is paying $5.28 a share. The cash owed is larger than that price drop, a gain of 3.4% from Monday's close.

WisdomTree Managed Futures Strategy Fund, WTMF, fell 6.3% in price, to $39.69. It is paying $2.81 a share, which leaves the shares up 0.3%.

Chip and data-center funds led the gains

Roundhill Investments' Roundhill Neocloud ETF, NCLD, rose 8.8%. Roundhill launched the fund on Aug. 6 to hold companies that rent out computing power for artificial intelligence. Nebius rose 11.2%, and CoreWeave and IREN, also in the fund, each rose 7.9%.

CoinShares Bitcoin Mining and Digital Power ETF, WGMI, rose 7.9%. Bitcoin was up 0.8% at 4:48 p.m. ET, at $80,620. CoinShares says the fund holds companies that operate the energy and computing behind bitcoin and artificial intelligence, which is why Nebius and CoreWeave sit in it beside the miners.

The Wall Street Journal said technology shares extended Monday's rally. On Monday, the Journal said, Anthropic's filing for an initial public offering had eased worry about an artificial-intelligence bubble. iShares Semiconductor ETF, SOXX, rose 4.0%. AMD rose 5.5%, and Broadcom rose 4.0%.
