BITX One of the original 2x bitcoin funds, live since 2023. BITX aims for twice the daily move of a bitcoin futures index, resets that math every day, and trades heavily. High-octane, priced like it, and built for days rather than decades.

UXRP ProShares' 2x XRP fund: it resets daily, holds futures and swaps rather than XRP itself, and undercuts the other US 2x XRP ETF on fees by more than a full percentage point.

BITX The Fund seeks daily results equal to twice the daily performance of the S&P CME Bitcoin Futures Daily Roll Index, before fees and expenses.

UXRP The fund seeks daily results, before fees and expenses, equal to twice XRP's daily performance.

Why people hold it

  • BITX Aims for twice the daily move of the S&P CME Bitcoin Futures Daily Roll Index inside an ordinary 1940 Act ETF. No margin account, no wallet, no crypto exchange login.
  • Very actively traded, so getting in and out is rarely the hard part. That matters in a product built around single-day exposure.
  • Trading since 2023, a long operating history for geared crypto, and it makes distributions on a monthly cadence.
  • UXRP At 1.67% a year it costs well under XXRP (2.77%), the other US fund tracking 2x daily XRP, and sits below its leveraged-crypto cohort's median fee.
  • The mandate is blunt and readable: 2x XRP's daily move before fees and expenses, delivered through futures and swaps, in a normal brokerage account.proshares.com

Worth knowing

  • BITX At 2.75% a year, it is the expensive lane to this trade. Its peer group's median is 1.89%, and ProShares' BITU charges 0.98% for 2x bitcoin exposure.
  • The 2x target resets daily. Over longer holds, choppy markets compound against you, and multi-day results can land well away from twice bitcoin's move.
  • The reference is a bitcoin futures index, not spot bitcoin, so futures roll mechanics sit between you and the coin price.
  • UXRP The 2x target applies to one day only. Hold longer and daily compounding pulls results away from 2x the period move, most sharply when XRP chops around.proshares.com
  • You never own XRP here. The fund gets exposure through derivatives, so counterparty and futures-market mechanics sit between you and the coin.proshares.com
  • Launched in 2025 and still small, with a shorter record and thinner trading than the firm's 2x bitcoin and ether funds (BITU, ETHT), which also charge about a point less.
