Our read on each fund
IHEB
THNRC
In short
IHE The domestic purist of pharma funds: about 60 US drug and vaccine makers, weighted by size, no foreign names riding along. Running since 2006, it is the plain cap-weighted take on Big Pharma.
THNR The GLP-1 trade in one ticker. THNR follows a global index of weight-loss drug developers plus the telehealth and treatment companies the index counts as economic beneficiaries, not just the obvious pharma giants.
Stated mandate
IHE The fund seeks to track an index of U.S. companies in the pharmaceuticals sector, giving investors targeted exposure to domestic drug manufacturers and vaccine producers.
THNR The fund provides access to global companies involved in weight-loss drug development or expected to benefit economically from increased use of these treatments, including drug manufacturers and telehealth providers.

How we measure overlap
Each holding counts at its smaller weight in the two funds, summed over the full Holdings. Sector, country and asset class use the same rule on each fund’s split. Cash, FX and derivative lines stay out of the counts. Two bond funds get no overlap figure.
