PDBABInvesco Agriculture Commodity Strategy No K-1 ETF

TAGSCTeucrium Agricultural Fund

In short

PDBA The broad farm-commodity basket without the partnership paperwork. PDBA tracks a diversified DBIQ agriculture index from inside a 1940 Act fund, which is exactly what the "No K-1" in its name is pointing at.

TAGS One ticket, four crops: TAGS holds Teucrium's corn, wheat, soybean and sugar funds at roughly a quarter each. Pure farm-field exposure, no energy or metals along for the ride, and the thinnest headline fee in the ag-futures group.

Stated mandate

PDBA The Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation.

TAGS The Fund seeks daily results reflecting the combined performance of four agricultural commodity pools covering corn, wheat, soybeans and sugar. It invests equally in those underlying funds and targets approximately 25% in each.

Why people hold it

  • PDBA One ticket, many crops: it follows the DBIQ Diversified Agriculture Index Excess Return instead of betting on a single commodity the way CORN or CANE do.
  • Registered as a 1940 Act fund rather than a commodity pool, so shareholders skip the Schedule K-1 the fund's own name calls out.
  • Fee sits at 0.75%, right on the category median and below Invesco's older ag fund DBA at 0.90%.
  • TAGS Headline fee of 0.17% sits far below the 0.75% typical of ag-futures funds.
  • Targets about 25% each in corn, wheat, soybeans and sugar, so no single crop runs the show.
  • Trading since 2012 and one of the stronger builds in the agricultural futures group.

Worth knowing

  • PDBA 0.75% is real money in commodity land. TAGS packages a diversified ag basket for 0.17%.
  • Exposure runs through futures-linked instruments, not farmland or farm companies, so contract pricing and rolls shape the ride as much as crop prices do.
  • Launched in 2022, a short history next to ag funds that have lived through more full commodity cycles.
  • TAGS It is a fund of funds: you also carry the costs of the four Teucrium funds it holds (sugar 0.54%, corn 0.61%), so all-in cost runs above the headline fee.
  • A small, thinly traded fund, so spreads can widen and large orders can move the price.
  • Built as a commodity pool rather than a standard stock ETF, with no regular distributions; tax paperwork differs, and rival PDBA is designed to skip the K-1.

How we measure overlap

Each holding counts at its smaller weight in the two funds, summed over the full Holdings. Sector, country and asset class use the same rule on each fund’s split. Cash, FX and derivative lines stay out of the counts. Two bond funds get no overlap figure.
