Our read on BAMG

ETF.net Research

CActive US growth in a compact package: roughly 80 hand-picked names chasing capital appreciation, with no index to hide behind. The 0.95% fee is the price of admission for a manager's judgment.

Stated mandate

The Fund seeks capital appreciation.

Why people hold it

  1. 01Does what the label says: an all-US, all-equity portfolio of roughly 80 growth names, closely matched to the mandate written in its prospectus.
  2. 02Roughly 80 holdings splits the difference: concentrated enough to look nothing like a broad index, spread wide enough that one blowup does not decide the year.
  3. 03Its ups and downs have measured milder than much of the high-conviction growth crowd, which is not the norm for a stock-picking fund.
  4. 04One job, plainly stated in the filing: capital appreciation from US stocks. No income sleeve, no geographic drift.

Worth knowing

  1. 01The 0.95% fee runs well above the typical fund in its peer group, and top-ranked rivals like JUSA (0.12%) and FELG (0.18%) charge a fraction of it.
  2. 02Thinly traded. Limit orders and avoiding the opening and closing bells are the difference between a fair fill and a wide spread.
  3. 03Launched in September 2023 and still modest in size, so there is limited history to judge the manager's calls against a full market cycle.
