Our read on NXUS

ETF.net Research

ANuveen's 2025 entry into the world-ex-US bond aisle: roughly 3,200 foreign government and corporate bonds, currency risk hedged back to dollars, for 0.07% a year.

Stated mandate

The Fund seeks to track, before fees and expenses, the Bloomberg Global Aggregate ex-USD (Hedged) Index. Its strategy may also use debt securities outside the Index, including asset-backed securities.

Why people hold it

  1. 010.07% a year, against a 0.36% median for the aggregate-bond group, and level with BNDX, the established hedged-international name.
  2. 02The benchmark hedges non-dollar currencies back into USD, so results follow the bonds rather than the euro, yen or pound.
  3. 03Roughly 3,200 issues across developed and emerging markets: no single borrower or country carries the portfolio.
  4. 04Cheap, broad and built on a mainstream Bloomberg benchmark, it ranks among the stronger builds in a crowded aggregate-bond field.

Worth knowing

  1. 01Launched in 2025, so there is no multi-year record yet of how tightly it hugs its index.
  2. 02Distributions come on an irregular schedule rather than a fixed monthly or quarterly one.
  3. 03The prospectus lets it hold debt outside the index, including asset-backed securities, so the portfolio can differ from the benchmark.
