Our read on each fund
ABXBD
AGGA
In short
ABXB The agg-bond aisle is wall-to-wall index trackers. ABXB is the odd one out: a trend-following system that shifts the bond mix as momentum changes, with at least 80% kept in bonds, rebuilt from a former tactical high-yield fund.
AGG Launched in 2003, one of the first funds to pack the entire U.S. investment-grade bond market into a single ticker: Treasuries, corporates and mortgage bonds, three basis points a year, cash paid monthly.
Stated mandate
ABXB The Fund is being repositioned as a tactical intermediate core-plus bond strategy using a trend-following system. Its revised policy requires at least 80% of assets in bonds or instruments with similar economic characteristics.
AGG The fund seeks to track the Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate Bond Index, providing broad exposure to the total U.S. investment-grade bond market.

How we measure overlap
Each holding counts at its smaller weight in the two funds, summed over the full Holdings. Sector, country and asset class use the same rule on each fund’s split. Cash, FX and derivative lines stay out of the counts. Two bond funds get no overlap figure.
