Our read on each fund
BLOKB
FDIGA
In short
BLOK Launched in January 2018, one of the first blockchain ETFs out of the gate, and still an active stock picker: about 50 global companies chosen by a manager rather than an index, plus limited digital-asset exposure through a wholly owned subsidiary.
FDIG Crypto exposure through the companies, not the coins: roughly 50 miners, exchanges and digital payments processors, weighted by how heavily they trade rather than how big they are, in a Fidelity-built index priced below the thematic norm.
Stated mandate
BLOK The Fund seeks total return through active investment in equity securities of companies involved in developing and using blockchain technologies. It may invest in non-U.S. equities and obtain limited digital-asset exposure through a wholly owned subsidiary.
FDIG The fund seeks to track the performance of the Fidelity Crypto Industry and Digital Payments Index before fees and expenses. It normally invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities or depositary receipts included in that index.

How we measure overlap
Each holding counts at its smaller weight in the two funds, summed over the full Holdings. Sector, country and asset class use the same rule on each fund’s split. Cash, FX and derivative lines stay out of the counts. Two bond funds get no overlap figure.
