Our read on XOVR

ETF.net Research

BPre-IPO investing usually starts with an accredited-investor checkbox. XOVR skips it: a 1940 Act ETF pairing about 30 US growth stocks with a private-company sleeve held through a special purpose vehicle, traded like any stock.

Stated mandate

The fund seeks long-term capital appreciation through a broader crossover strategy combining public equities with select private-company exposure.

Why people hold it

  1. 01Uses the illiquid-asset room most ETFs leave on the table: roughly 85% index portfolio, up to about 15% private stakes via an SPV marked into daily NAV. No accreditation, no minimum, no capital calls.entrepreneurshares.comentrepreneurshares.com
  2. 020.75% a year, and the private-sleeve SPV adds no management fee and no carried interest on top. That lands well under the typical fee in the listed-private-markets group.entrepreneurshares.com
  3. 03Trades actively for such a niche product, so entering and exiting is cheap. That matters more than usual when a slice of the portfolio does not trade at all.
  4. 04One of the stronger builds in a young, thin peer group of listed private-markets funds.

Worth knowing

  1. 01The private sleeve is priced by a valuation policy, not a live market. Marks can move in steps, and an eventual exit may settle somewhere different.entrepreneurshares.com
  2. 02About 30 public names plus a concentrated private position means single companies drive the outcome. It sits at the higher-risk end of its cohort.
  3. 03Today's strategy dates to an August 2024 restructuring of an earlier ERShares fund, so longer charts reflect different plumbing. It has not been an income payer.entrepreneurshares.com
