DDMBProShares Ultra Dow30

QQUPCProShares Ultra QQQ Mega

In short

DDM The Dow dates to 1896. DDM is the only ETF built to double its daily move: 2x the Dow Jones Industrial Average, reset every single day, for 0.95% a year, running since 2006.

QQUP Most 2x Nasdaq funds own all 100 names. QQUP targets twice the daily move of only the mega-cap top slice, with membership set by index rules rather than a frozen Mag 7 list.

Stated mandate

DDM The fund seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, corresponding to twice the daily performance of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

QQUP The fund targets two times the daily returns of the Nasdaq-100 Mega Index.

Why people hold it

  • DDM The only ETF that targets 2x the daily return of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Leveraged blue-chip exposure through one ticker, no margin account needed.proshares.com
  • Trading since 2006, and its day-to-day results have stayed close to the 2x daily target across nearly two decades of market cycles.proshares.com
  • Easy to get in and out of for a fund its size, and one of the strongest implementations in its peer group of leveraged bull funds.
  • The 0.95% fee sits near the typical charge for leveraged funds, and it is the standing rate, not a number propped up by a temporary waiver.
  • QQUP ProShares calls it the first and only ETF targeting 2x the daily move of the Nasdaq-100 Mega Index, a basket covering roughly the top 45% of the Nasdaq-100.proshares.com
  • Membership is rules-based: annual December reconstitution plus rank checks in March, June and September, so the mega-cap leaderboard rotates as it changes.nasdaq.com
  • Fee is 0.95% net of a waiver through September 30, 2027 (1.22% gross), near the median for leveraged bull funds.

Worth knowing

  • DDM The 2x target resets daily. Hold for weeks and compounding takes over, so results can land well away from twice the Dow's move, especially in choppy markets.proshares.com
  • The Dow is price-weighted across 30 blue chips, so a high-priced stock swings it more than a far larger company does.spglobal.com
  • Sibling leveraged funds cost a little less: QLD charges 0.89% net of a waiver through September 30, 2027, against a 0.96% gross rate.
  • QQUP The 2x target applies to a single day. Over longer holds, daily compounding can push returns meaningfully above or below 2x the index, as the prospectus spells out.proshares.com
  • A narrow mega-cap basket, doubled. One name's bad week lands harder here than in a 2x fund spread across all 100 Nasdaq-100 members.proshares.comnasdaq.com
  • Launched in 2025, it stays small and lightly traded next to veterans like QLD, which runs 0.89% net of a waiver through September 30, 2027.

Each holding counts at its smaller weight in the two funds, summed over the full Holdings. Sector, country and asset class use the same rule on each fund’s split. Cash, FX and derivative lines stay out of the counts. Two bond funds get no overlap figure.
