DDMBProShares Ultra Dow30

UXIBProShares Ultra Industrials

In short

DDM The Dow dates to 1896. DDM is the only ETF built to double its daily move: 2x the Dow Jones Industrial Average, reset every single day, for 0.95% a year, running since 2006.

UXI Industrials dialed to 2x: aerospace, railroads, machinery and logistics, reset every day. Trading since 2007, it is the moderate-leverage way to lean on the factory-floor economy.

Stated mandate

DDM The fund seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, corresponding to twice the daily performance of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

UXI The fund targets two times the daily performance of the S&P Industrials Select Sector Index.

Why people hold it

  • DDM The only ETF that targets 2x the daily return of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Leveraged blue-chip exposure through one ticker, no margin account needed.proshares.com
  • Trading since 2006, and its day-to-day results have stayed close to the 2x daily target across nearly two decades of market cycles.proshares.com
  • Easy to get in and out of for a fund its size, and one of the strongest implementations in its peer group of leveraged bull funds.
  • The 0.95% fee sits near the typical charge for leveraged funds, and it is the standing rate, not a number propped up by a temporary waiver.
  • UXI Targets two times the daily move of the S&P Industrials Select Sector Index, about 80 industrial names from the S&P 500. No detour into a niche index to get the leverage.proshares.com
  • 0.95% a year, net of a waiver through September 30, 2027 (1.32% gross). That sits near the typical leveraged-bull fee and matches ProShares' own Ultra Dow30 (DDM, 0.95%).
  • Listed in 2007, so the daily-reset machinery has run through the financial crisis, the 2020 crash and the recoveries after. One of the stronger builds in its leveraged peer group.
  • 2x is the gentler setting in this corner: the other route to leveraged industrials is a 3x fund, where daily compounding bites harder. Distributions come quarterly.direxion.com

Worth knowing

  • DDM The 2x target resets daily. Hold for weeks and compounding takes over, so results can land well away from twice the Dow's move, especially in choppy markets.proshares.com
  • The Dow is price-weighted across 30 blue chips, so a high-priced stock swings it more than a far larger company does.spglobal.com
  • Sibling leveraged funds cost a little less: QLD charges 0.89% net of a waiver through September 30, 2027, against a 0.96% gross rate.
  • UXI The 2x goal resets each day. Hold longer than a day and results can drift well away from 2x the index, especially in choppy markets. It is built as a short-horizon tool.proshares.com
  • A small fund that trades thinly next to the headline leveraged products, so spreads can widen and add to the cost of getting in and out.
  • One cyclical sector, doubled. Industrials swing with the economy, and the 2x multiple magnifies down days exactly as it magnifies up ones.

How we measure overlap

Each holding counts at its smaller weight in the two funds, summed over the full Holdings. Sector, country and asset class use the same rule on each fund’s split. Cash, FX and derivative lines stay out of the counts. Two bond funds get no overlap figure.
