ETFTDFundsmith Equity ETF

SQSCSapient Quality Select ETF

In short

ETFT A global quality-growth stockpicker in an ETF wrapper, live since late 2025: profitable, growing companies of any size, anywhere, with at least 80% of assets in equities.

SQS A boutique manager's concentrated take on global quality and growth, in an ETF wrapper. Actively picked, non-diversified, no index to hide behind, and it showed up with multi-billion-dollar size for a 2026 debut.

Stated mandate

ETFT The Fund seeks long-term growth by investing globally in listed equities, with at least 80% of net assets normally in equity securities and a primary focus on common stocks of U.S. and non-U.S. companies of any size.

SQS The Fund seeks long-term total return. It is actively managed and invests in companies that the sub-adviser believes have quality and growth characteristics across sectors and geographies.

Why people hold it

  • ETFT Tight, legible mandate: US and non-US common stocks of any size, chosen on growth, profitability and quality rather than index weights.
  • Genuinely global and size-agnostic. No country sleeves, no market-cap box, just one portfolio of businesses.
  • Aimed at long-term growth rather than income, so the work is done by the companies it owns instead of a payout schedule.
  • SQS Genuinely active: the sub-adviser buys companies it judges to have quality and growth traits across sectors and geographies, US and overseas, rather than tracking a global index.sec.gov
  • Non-diversified by design, so high-conviction names can carry real weight instead of being diluted across thousands of tickers.etfarchitect.com
  • Rare for a 2026 launch: it is already a multi-billion-dollar fund, and it sits in the upper half of its global active-equity peer group.

Worth knowing

  • ETFT The fee is 1.00% a year, at the pricier end of this peer group. Cheaper active global growth exists, such as CGGO at 0.47%.
  • Launched in late 2025, so there is very little live record to judge, and our review currently places it in the lower half of its cohort.
  • Still a small, thinly traded fund, which typically means wider bid-ask spreads than the heavily traded names in the category.
  • SQS 0.80% a year, above the 0.69% median for its peer group and many times what index-built global rivals like GSWO (0.15%) or AVGE (0.25%) charge.
  • Trades lightly for its size, so bid/ask spreads can run wider than on household-name global funds.
  • Live since March 2026, so the track record is short, and a concentrated book means single names move the ride more.etfarchitect.com

How we measure overlap

Each holding counts at its smaller weight in the two funds, summed over the full Holdings. Sector, country and asset class use the same rule on each fund’s split. Cash, FX and derivative lines stay out of the counts. Two bond funds get no overlap figure.
