FQALAFidelity Quality Factor ETF

TPFCDTimothy Plan Free Cash Flow ETF

In short

FQAL Fidelity's own quality screen, boxed into an ETF: roughly 130 U.S. companies picked for profitability, steady cash flow and clean balance sheets, at 0.15% a year, well under the typical fee in the quality-factor group.

TPFC Free cash flow investing with a faith filter. TPFC tracks a Victory index that ranks profitable US companies on free cash flow yield, then screens out what fails biblically responsible rules. Launched 2026.

Stated mandate

FQAL The fund prioritizes U.S. companies exhibiting higher profitability, stable cash flows, and strong balance sheets.

TPFC The Fund seeks to track, before fees and expenses, the Victory Free Cash Flow BRI Index.

Why people hold it

  • FQAL Costs 0.15% a year, roughly half the typical fee among quality-factor ETFs. That puts it in the cheapest tier of the group, alongside JQUA, VFQY and QUAL.
  • The rulebook is Fidelity's own: the Fidelity U.S. Quality Factor Index, tracked tightly. One of the closer index implementations in its peer group.
  • Live since 2016 and now a multi-billion-dollar fund, so this is a settled product rather than a launch still finding its footing.
  • The screen is explicit about what it wants: higher profitability, stable cash flows, strong balance sheets. No vague 'quality' hand-waving.
  • TPFC Profitable US companies ranked by free cash flow yield, with the biblically responsible exclusions written into the index rules rather than left to a manager's discretion.b-cdn.net
  • Rules on a calendar: the index reconstitutes twice a year, in April and October, and applies sector and single-name weight limits so one name cannot swallow the portfolio.b-cdn.net
  • Victory Capital sub-advises, continuing a partnership that began with Timothy Plan's first ETFs in 2019. The free cash flow engine is older than the wrapper around it.globenewswire.com

Worth knowing

  • FQAL Roughly 130 stocks, not the whole market. A narrower bench means individual names and sector tilts carry more weight than in a total-market fund.
  • Trading volume is light next to the category's biggest quality funds, which can show up as wider bid-ask spreads.
  • Distributions come quarterly, but the screen hunts profitability and balance-sheet strength, not yield.
  • TPFC 0.59% a year sits above the 0.45% median for index wrappers, and broad peers like SCHK (0.03%) mark the floor. The screen and the factor tilt are what the extra buys.
  • Small asset base and thin trading so far, which tends to mean wider bid-ask spreads, and a 2026 launch leaves little live history to judge.
  • Ruling out whole industries narrows the pool. Timothy Plan itself notes its funds may be riskier than funds drawing on a broader universe.globenewswire.com
