Our read on each fund
GRNBA
JFLXC
In short
GRNB Its peer group is stacked with total-bond-market giants. GRNB goes narrow instead: only dollar-denominated green bonds funding environmental projects, issued worldwide by governments, supranationals and companies. A 2017-vintage specialist at 0.20%.
JFLX Most funds in the aggregate-bond aisle copy the Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate. JFLX only measures itself against it, roaming US, international and emerging-market debt under one main rule: keep at least 80% in bonds.
Stated mandate
GRNB The fund seeks to track the S&P Green Bond U.S. Dollar Select Index before fees and expenses. The index covers U.S.-dollar-denominated green bonds financing environmentally friendly projects and issued globally by supranational, government, and corporate entities.
JFLX The Fund seeks long-term total return, including current income and capital appreciation, by investing opportunistically across markets and sectors. It uses a flexible, benchmark-agnostic approach and normally invests at least 80% of assets in debt investments.
