Our read on NTSI
BDeveloped-market stocks and a U.S. Treasury futures sleeve sharing one seat. NTSI is WisdomTree's capital-efficient playbook pointed overseas: the stock exposure and the bond exposure don't have to compete for the same dollar.
The Fund seeks total return through international equity securities and U.S. Treasury futures. WisdomTree presents it as a capital-efficient balanced strategy intended to provide international equity exposure with Treasury-futures diversification.
Why people hold it
- Charges 0.26% a year, roughly a third of what the typical allocation fund in its group costs.
- One wrapper, two jobs: developed international equities plus U.S. Treasury futures, so the bond side doesn't eat cash the stock side needs.
- The equity base is broad, roughly 500 names across developed markets outside the U.S.
- One of the stronger builds in a crowded allocation field, alongside WisdomTree siblings NTSX (U.S. version) and GDE (gold version).
Worth knowing
- Futures push total exposure above the cash invested. That cuts both ways: moves are amplified up and down.
- Thinly traded, so spreads can add to the cost of getting in and out beyond the headline fee.
- Actively run on quantitative models and launched in 2021, a shorter history than the plain-vanilla balanced funds it sits next to.

NTSI Risk
This fund targets a multiple of the daily move of its index and resets daily. Hold it longer than one reset and compounding makes the return diverge from that target. In choppy markets it can lose value even when the index ends flat.
- 13.2%
How it’s calculated: standard deviation
The sample standard deviation of monthly total returns, multiplied by the square root of 12.
Uses up to 36 complete months, with at least 12 required. Total returns include reinvested distributions.
- 0.83
How it’s calculated: Sharpe ratio
Subtract each month’s Treasury-bill return from the fund’s monthly total return.
Divide the average of those excess returns by their sample standard deviation, then multiply by the square root of 12.
Uses up to 36 complete months, with at least 12 required. Each month uses the Treasury yield quoted at the end of the previous month.
- −33.4%
How it’s calculated: maximum drawdown
The largest percentage decline from an earlier peak, using total returns with reinvested distributions.
Uses up to five years through the last close, with at least 12 months required.
- 0.93
How it’s calculated: beta
The beta figure is supplied by FMP. The comparison index depends on the fund’s broad asset class.
