AGNGAGlobal X Aging Population ETF

TINYCProShares Nanotechnology ETF

In short

AGNG AGNG plays the one trend nobody needs a crystal ball for: people getting older. About 80 developed-market names in medical devices, pharma and senior living, wrapped around an aging-population index, for 0.50% a year.

TINY Nanotechnology is a theme most fund shelves skip entirely. TINY is ProShares' answer: roughly 30 global companies working at the nanoscale, bundled through one Solactive index into a single ticker.

Stated mandate

AGNG The Fund seeks to track, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Indxx Aging Population Thematic Index.

TINY TINY invests in companies whose business operations are in nanotechnology, providing exposure to the emerging nanotechnology theme through a global portfolio.

Why people hold it

  • AGNG One ticket on the demographics trade: roughly 80 developed-market companies tied to older consumers, tracking the Indxx Aging Population Thematic Index.globalxetfs.com
  • 0.50% a year, below the median fee in its global thematic peer group. Niche themes usually charge a premium for the privilege.
  • Running since 2016, so the theme has a long live record rather than a backtest and a pitch deck.
  • Portfolio construction and risk profile put it among the stronger builds in its global thematic peer group.
  • TINY Pure-play access to a theme most shelves skip. It tracks the Solactive Nanotechnology Index, built from companies whose business operations sit in nanotechnology.proshares.com
  • About 30 global holdings, so the theme actually drives the fund instead of sitting as a rounding error inside a broad tech portfolio.
  • 0.58% a year puts it in line with the typical global thematic ETF, even though the mandate is far narrower than most.
  • ProShares has run it since 2021, it pays quarterly, and it stands in the upper half of its global thematic peer group.

Worth knowing

  • AGNG Thinly traded, so spreads can run wider than in mega-cap funds and how you place the order matters more.
  • One theme, tilted to healthcare and developed markets, so its path can look nothing like a broad global index.
  • Distributions arrive annually or semiannually, not monthly, and the asset base is modest by ETF standards.
  • TINY Small and thinly traded, which usually means wider bid-ask spreads and more price impact than a mainstream index fund.
  • About 30 stocks in one emerging theme is a concentrated ride, and it can swing harder than a diversified technology fund.
  • Broader thematic funds charge less (KLMT at 0.10%, IQSZ at 0.19%), though neither aims at nanotechnology.
