DIHPBDimensional International High Profitability ETF

EAFGDPacer Developed Markets Cash Cows Growth Leaders ETF

In short

DIHP Dimensional took its profitability screen overseas: roughly 500 large non-US companies, each judged against rivals in its own country or region, not one global yardstick. Fees land under the typical international factor fund.

EAFG Pacer's Cash Cows playbook sent overseas with a growth tilt: developed-market large and mid caps screened on free cash flow, growth, momentum and profitability. A 2024 arrival in an aisle long ruled by min-vol veterans.

Stated mandate

DIHP The fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing in large non-U.S. companies selected for relatively high profitability within their country or region.

EAFG The fund seeks to track the performance, before fees and expenses, of the Pacer Developed Markets Cash Cows Growth Leaders Index. Its strategy targets developed-markets large- and mid-capitalization companies using free cash flow and growth-oriented screening.

Why people hold it

  • DIHP Costs 0.27% a year, well under the 0.41% median expense ratio for its international factor peer group.
  • Profitability is measured within a company's own country or region, so the screen doesn't quietly become a bet on whichever markets happen to look richest.
  • Roughly 500 large non-US names, so the factor is spread across a wide bench rather than a concentrated handful. Distributions come quarterly.
  • Sits in the upper half of its 18-fund international factor cohort on our review.
  • EAFG Screens developed large and mid caps on free cash flow, then leans growth, momentum and profitability. A cash-generation lens in a corner of the market that mostly sells low volatility.paceretfs.com
  • Rules-based and readable: it tracks the Pacer Developed Markets Cash Cows Growth Leaders Index, holds roughly 110 stocks, and pays quarterly inside a plain 1940 Act ETF wrapper.paceretfs.com
  • Sits apart from shelf-mates like EFAV, ACWV and QLVD, which tilt toward low volatility and quality. EAFG starts from cash generation and growth instead.

Worth knowing

  • DIHP A profitability tilt is a deliberate deviation, so the fund can behave quite differently from a plain international index in either direction.
  • Launched in 2022, so the live record is short compared with long-standing factor funds in the same aisle.
  • Cheaper shelf-mates exist (QLVD, EFAV and ACWV all list lower), though they screen for low volatility or quality rather than profitability.
  • EAFG Charges 0.65% a year, above what the typical developed-markets factor fund costs. The screen carries a higher toll than an index-hugging alternative.
  • A small, thinly traded fund. Spreads can run wider and less predictable than in the giant developed-markets index products.
  • Launched in 2024, so the track record is short: no full market cycle yet to show how a cash-flow-plus-growth screen behaves overseas.

Each holding counts at its smaller weight in the two funds, summed over the full Holdings. Sector, country and asset class use the same rule on each fund’s split. Cash, FX and derivative lines stay out of the counts. Two bond funds get no overlap figure.
