Our read on each fund

In short
BGLD Buffer ETFs almost always wrap stocks. BGLD wraps gold: it aims to track the SPDR Gold Trust's price up to a cap reset every quarter, while cushioning a slice of GLD's losses once the first 5% is gone.
RSJN Most buffer ETFs are bolted onto the cap-weighted S&P 500, where a few megacaps call the shots. RSJN buffers the equal-weight version instead: the same 500-odd names, spread evenly, with the first 10% of losses absorbed over each June-to-June period.
Stated mandate
BGLD The fund seeks to match the price return of the SPDR® Gold Trust, before fees and expenses, subject to a predetermined upside cap and protection against specified losses during the target outcome period.
RSJN Seeks returns matching the Underlying ETF’s price return up to a predetermined cap, while buffering the first 10% of its losses during the June 22, 2026–June 17, 2027 Target Outcome Period.

How we measure overlap
Each holding counts at its smaller weight in the two funds, summed over the full Holdings. Sector, country and asset class use the same rule on each fund’s split. Cash, FX and derivative lines stay out of the counts. Two bond funds get no overlap figure.
