In short

GENZ Longevity is rare in thematics: GENZ dates back to 2008 and today tracks the MarketVector Digital Native Economy Index, roughly 40 US stocks, for 0.51% a year, below its peer group's median fee.

TSIC TSIC puts a media brand on a plain index fund: it tracks the Truth Social - Yorkville American Icons Index, a rules-based basket of US consumer-lifestyle stocks. The theme is the hook; the machinery underneath is standard indexing.

Stated mandate

GENZ GENZ seeks to replicate the MarketVector Digital Native Economy Index before fees and expenses. It uses a passive approach and normally invests at least 80% of assets in securities comprising that index.

TSIC The Fund seeks to provide investment results that generally correspond, before fees and expenses, to the performance of the Truth Social TM – Yorkville American Icons Index.

Why people hold it

  • GENZ At 0.51% a year it undercuts the 0.57% median fee in its thematic peer group, so the theme doesn't carry a novelty markup.
  • Rules over hunches: it replicates the MarketVector Digital Native Economy Index and normally keeps at least 80% of assets in that index's securities.
  • A 2008 launch is old age in thematic land. This fund has traded through multiple full market cycles under the same issuer.
  • TSIC Rules first, not stock picking. Holdings come from the published inclusion criteria of a named index, so the basket is set by a methodology rather than a manager's conviction.
  • 0.65% a year sits right at the median for its consumer-theme cohort. Not the discount rack, not the top shelf.
  • Clean mandate: US stocks only, in a standard 1940 Act fund. No currency sleeve, no bonds, no derivatives wrapper to decode.
  • Its benchmark is its own. No other fund in the consumer-lifestyle cohort tracks the same index, so the lineup is not a clone of the incumbents.

Worth knowing

  • GENZ Thinly traded with a small asset base, so spreads tend to be wider and the cost of getting in and out is a real part of the bill.
  • Roughly 40 stocks in one theme. Individual names move the fund, and swings can run deeper than a broad US equity index.
  • Cheaper tech-theme options sit in the same cohort (LRND at 0.14%, TECB at 0.30%), and GENZ lands in the lower half of that peer group on our review.
  • TSIC Launched at the very end of 2025, so there is thin live history to judge how closely it hugs its index or how it acts in a rough tape.
  • A small fund that trades lightly, which can mean wider bid-ask spreads and more price drift versus the value of what it holds.
  • Payouts arrive on no fixed schedule, and cheaper shelf-mates exist in the same theme: MILN and PAWZ each charge 0.50%.
