GUSEAGoldman Sachs Enhanced U.S. Equity ETF

LCLGDLogan Capital Broad Innovative Growth ETF

In short

GUSE Goldman's fundamental stock pickers hunting long-term growth in US companies, for 0.30% a year. The strategy dates to 2008 and charges well under the typical active US growth fund.

LCLG A Philadelphia-area stock shop's flagship growth list in ETF form: an unbenchmarked, hand-picked large-cap growth portfolio at 0.85%, converted from a mutual fund in 2022 and renamed back to Large Cap Growth in 2026.

Stated mandate

GUSE The Fund seeks long-term growth of capital by investing in companies that the Investment Adviser believes are positioned for long-term growth.

LCLG Seek long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in large-capitalization U.S. equity companies whose innovative or cutting-edge technologies or ideas may create competitive advantages and support durable earnings growth.

Why people hold it

  • GUSE Charges 0.30% a year, against a 0.54% median for its active US growth cohort. Cheap, for stock picking.
  • Actively run with no index to shadow. Managers hold companies they judge positioned for long-term growth, so the portfolio can look different from a large-cap benchmark.
  • Inception dates to 2008, so the strategy has run through multiple market cycles, not one long rally.
  • One of the stronger implementations in a crowded field of active US growth funds.
  • LCLG Actively run with no index to hug: holdings come from a three-part screen (top-down macro, fundamental research, technical confirmation), not a rules file.sec.govsec.gov 2
  • The record predates the wrapper. LCLG is the accounting and performance survivor of a 2012-vintage Logan mutual fund that became an ETF in August 2022.sec.gov
  • Not a side project: Logan Capital has been running this large-cap growth strategy since 1997, and the founding principals co-manage the growth portfolios.logancapital.comlogancapital.com 2

Worth knowing

  • GUSE Trades thinly next to the category's heavyweights. Spreads can be wider, which bites most on large or hurried orders.
  • Two peers in the same top tier undercut it on fee: JUSA at 0.12% and FELG at 0.18%. Price is not where this one stands out.
  • Distributions land once or twice a year, not monthly. Growth of capital is the stated goal, not an income stream.
  • LCLG At 0.85%, the fee sits above the category median and well above enhanced-index peers like JUSA and FELG at 0.18%. Stock picking carries that cost.
  • Thinly traded and small by ETF standards, so spreads can be wider; limit orders matter more here than in a mega-fund.
  • US large caps are the core, but the prospectus allows up to 20% in foreign issuers, including emerging markets. The mandate is appreciation, not income.sec.gov
