Our read on each fund
IXNB
XLKA
In short
IXN Most tech ETFs stop at the US border. IXN doesn't: it tracks a capped global technology index, so software, semiconductor and hardware companies listed outside America sit inside the mandate. It has been running since 2001.
XLK A 1998 original: XLK owns the technology slice of the S&P 500, about 70 names, for eight basis points. Big, heavily traded, and top-heavy by design, with quarterly caps the only brake on the giants at the top.
Stated mandate
IXN The fund seeks to track an index of global technology-sector equities, providing global sector exposure with diversified access to software, semiconductor, and hardware companies worldwide.
XLK The fund seeks to track the price and yield performance of the Technology Select Sector Index before expenses.

How we measure overlap
Each holding counts at its smaller weight in the two funds, summed over the full Holdings. Sector, country and asset class use the same rule on each fund’s split. Cash, FX and derivative lines stay out of the counts. Two bond funds get no overlap figure.
